Hawaiʻi Business Research Library

The Hawaiʻi Business Research Library (HBRL) provides specialized and customized business research assistance to small business owners, educators and public policy makers. In order to succeed, prosper and grow, small businesses, much like major corporations, need quick and easy access to a wide variety of business, economic, and demographic data. The HBRL is uniquely dedicated and equipped to serve the business information needs of individuals, start-up companies, existing businesses, and out-of-state and international entrepreneurs and companies wishing to start, expand, or relocate a business to Hawaiʻi.

The Hawaiʻi Business Research Library is a multi-service, small business, reference and research center. The researchers answer information requests in all areas of business. The HBRL’s resources are enhanced by access to 400 online commercial databases covering all fields of research, including trade journals, business periodicals, and market research tools, providing current demographic estimates of standard or customized geographical areas. The HBRL also annually publishes and maintains the Maui County Data Book for the County of Maui.
